H1N1 Influenza To Be 100 Years In 2018

"2018 will be 100 years since the emergence of H1N1…” says Dr Henry Bamfo Bonney, a leading Ghanaian specialist in infectious diseases working in Saudi Arabia.

Giving a historical background of the virus on the back of the outbreak in Kumasi Academy, Dr Bonney said “scientists even claim before 1918, it (virus) was existing in birds known as avian influenza and then it mutated and started affecting humans and then to pigs (Swine). "
