The promotional examinations for police constables across the country were cancelled yesterday because some of the papers leaked.
The Police Administration which gave signals for the cancellation of the examinations has given an indication that the exams be written today.
Indefinite suspension
According to sources, the Police Administration communicated its decision to cancel the examinations to the affected police officers on Tuesday.
“The Police Administration has sent signal to all the affected officers to the effect that the examinations have been suspended with immediate effect,” the source said.
Police promotions are conducted for personnel based on the number of years they have served on a specific rank,
The source said prior to any promotional examinations, the Police Administration usually sent signals to all the police commanders across the country to forward the names of officers who had served specific periods and were qualified to write the exam.
