KSTS Student Fires Gun At Police Officer For Invading Their Smoking Point

A student at Kumasi Secondary Technical School (name withheld) on Monday allegedly pulled a trigger and fired at a police officer after invading a point perceived to be a smoking place of these students just around the school compound.

The security personnel upon seeing some students jumped over the walls to the other side, chased them and upon reaching the students, one of the students pulled a trigger and fired at the policemen.

The pistol however missed the target. The students further pulled knives and cut the hand of one of the police officers.

The injured officer was rushed to the hospital by some passersby.

Information reaching Kessben news indicates that, the assembly member of Patasi area upon appeal by the headmaster of the school wrote to Ghana police for security officers to guard some vantage points which serve as smoking points of these students.

Authorities of the school have recently battled these students as the students have broken the school walls of the school to provide entrance to their comfort zones.

The police have launched investigations into the matter.
