The Northern Sector Command of the Customs, Excise and Preventive Services (CEPS) on Saturday destroyed 330,000 cartons of seized cigarettes. The cigarettes which were of different brands were destroyed because they were either smuggled goods or did not have the health warning: "Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health". Mr. Ernest Frimpong-Nuamah, the Sector Commander led a team of CEPs personnel and officials of the Foods and Drugs Board and the Environmental Protection Agency to witness the destruction of the items.
