Kofi Mintah advises the youth to rally behind NDC

A founding Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region, Mr Kofi Mintah, has appealed to the youth to rally behind the party for a better future. He said it was only the NDC that had initiated policies to ensure a better future for the youth and urged them to exercise patience for the policies to mature. Mr. Mintah, a former Central Regional Chairman of the party, was addressing a youth meeting at Assin Manso in the Assin South District. Mr. Mintah, who is contesting for the position of the National Vice Chairman of the party, said he had decided to vie for the position to place him at a better position to fight for the welfare of the youth and women. He appealed to the youth to desist from utterances and activities which could tarnish the image of the NDC. Mr Mintah said opponents of the party were waiting for any slip from NDC members and would use them in their campaign for the 2010 general election. He advised delegates to the national congress to take decisions that would move the party forward. He said they should not let money or any other gifts or promises to influence their decisions but to elect people who could deliver and not those who would dissipate the party's funds for their personal interests. Mr. Mintah advised the youth to regard themselves as the party's foot soldiers and intensify campaign for support in all parts of the country.
