Ade Coker For NDC GT Accra Chair

Analysts have suggested that key National Positions like the National Chairman occupied by Dr. Kwabena Agyei, General Secretary; Aseidu Nketia and National Organizer Samuel Ofosu Ampofo should be retained unopposed because these individuals worked so hard in bringing the party into power after eight years in opposition. There is not much argument over that but there is serious jostle for attention in the Regional Executive Positions. The race in Greater Accra appears the keenest where Danny Annang is the target. One individual positioning himself to take over from Danny Annang as the Greater Accra Chairman is Mr. Ade Coker, Businessman and Sports Administrator. He told Citi News in an interview that he is in poll position to win the race due to his ports back ground. The aspiring Greater Accra chairman of the NDC said it seems to be a good omen when a sports man goes into politics because former President Kufuor was a sports man because he was the Chairman of Asante Kotoko for a very long time and the current President Mill was also into sports; he was the Chairman of the Accra Hearts of Oak. Commenting on other issues bothering the NDC in recent times, Ade Coker said his party finds itself in a precarious situation but he believes that it will surely deliver on its better Ghana Agenda judging from the experience of past Political leaders. He said apart from Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who had money left for him by the British colonials masters, most Presidents had trying times in their first year of service but they struggled through it. He said President Mills is also going through the same hard situation, striving to fix the economy. He therefore urged Ghanaians be patient with Prof. Mills because he believes President Mills will deliver on his Better Ghana Agenda.
