Alhaji Short Wishes Regional Delegates The Best Of Luck

As we get ourselves ready for the Regional Delegates Conference in a few days, to elect regional executives, I wish to take this opportunity to wish all of us a successful conference. To all the delegates and party faithful, I wish you a harmonious engagement.

To those of us going into contest, good luck!

Let us remind ourselves that our party is built on the tenets of good governance, participatory democracy, patriotism, social justice and the respect for human rights. And that it is significant, therefore, for delegates, candidates, election officials and the larger grassroots supporters of our cherished party to be guided by these core tenets during the conference. Let us remind ourselves that even in contest with one another, each of our individual goals is the same - service to the NPP - and our collective interest is the (intact) image and well-being of the party. Let us accept the delegates’ choice or/and let us use the appropriate channels to seek redress in the event of grievance/s. Let us remain steadfast and resolute in our quest for a peaceful as well as purposeful conference.

I entreat the teeming members, supporters and well- wishers of the NPP, to jealously protect the values that gave us power. We must not do anything to jeopardise the peace that the nation is currently enjoying under H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President. We will have given an excellent account of ourselves if we can be particularly measured in our jubilations and celebrations in victory. Our every effort from here on is towards Victory 2020 and, therefore, must be peaceable so as to unite us and make us stronger for the next fight and the next and the next.

I wish you all the best and May the best candidates for the NPP emerge.

Long Live the NPP!!

Long Live Ghana!!!

ASEMPA YE SHORT!
