NDC aspirant to advocate speedy implementation of Policy

Mr Abubakar Musah Sidii, an aspiring National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has observed that Ghana's National Youth Policy is taking too long to implement. "The Ghana National Youth Policy is such a brilliant document but has rather waited too long to be implemented," he stressed. Mr Sidii made the observation in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Hohoe during the party's Volta Regional Conference at the weekend. He said a cursory look at the document revealed "wonderful proposals", which needed to be implemented on good time. He said the policy sought to establish the identity and status of the Ghanaian youth within the framework of government policy and provided direction for youth activities. Mr Sidii said he would project the concerns of the youth by making those in NDC assertive on issues relating to their interest. He said he would institute an award scheme for party youth organisers as a motivation for hard work. Mr Sidii also promised to organise regular youth forums and capacity training for the party's youth leaders to improve their organisational skills in addition to making himself accessible through an "open door policy".
