Dwarfs beats Medeama United

Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs fought from a goal down at half time to beat Tarkwa Medeama 2-1 in their Division One League match played at Robert Mensah stadium at Cape Coast. Medeama who paraded some players of Premier division calibre shocked Dwarfs with a 10th minute early goal scored by midfielder, Mathew Frimpong. The early goal disorganized Dwarfs and allowed Medeama to dictate the pace of the game until the end of the first half. Back from the recess, Dwarfs brought in Akwasi Antwi for Peter Marko and the change enabled Dwarfs to take full control of the game from then on and it therefore came as no surprise when substitute Antwi after collecting a pass beat his marker and gave a diagonal pass to Bismark Asiedu to score the equalizer in the 55th minute. Backed by their vociferous supporters, Dwarfs continued to dictate affairs of the game nut it was not until the 75th minute before they managed to score the match winner through a spot kick taken by outside left, Douglas Mustapha. Meanwhile results of other League matches were, Windy Professionals beat Feyenoored 1-0 while Metro Stars trounced Tarkwa United 3-1.
