Mr Ishmael Ashitey, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Tema East vying for the position of Greater Accra Regional Chairman, has appealed to the Party's delegates to judge him by his competence, achievement and the vision he has for the party . Mr Ashitey made the call when he addressed 27 constituency executives to explain his vision for the party and to solicit for their votes. He urged the delegates to go for the best candidate who could improve the fortunes of the party and win back most of the seats lost in the 2008 elections. Mr Doku Kwei, the Campaign Manager of Mr Ashitey, appealed to the delegates to critically examine the previous performances of the contestants and pick someone who can unite the party for victory in the 2012 elections. The Greater Accra Regional Congress of the NPP comes off at the Trade Fair Centre, La, on December 27, 2009.
