NPP National Treasurer Race: Abankwah...Yeboah Still In Contest

The Campaign manager of Kwabena Abankwah-Yeboah, the NPP National Treasurer aspirant, Mr. Henry Akuffo has denied reports which have gone viral that his candidate, Abankwah Yeboah has stepped down ahead of this year’s national delegate’s conference.

Mr. Akufo urged all NPP delegates, supporters and the general public to disregard such falsehood and fabricated story.

In a statement sent to peacefmonline.com, he stated that, "Abankwah-Yeboah is touching base with the grassroots to dispel the untruths told to delegates about him".

He stated emphatically that Abankwah Yehoah still remains the strong contestant for the party’s national treasurer position, asking all NPP faithful and delegates to treat the news with contempt it deserves."

Full Statement Below:

Other aspirants in the national treasurer race cannot simply come to terms why Mr. Abankwah-Yeboah is enjoying massive endorsement across the country. They are surprised that delegates still remember the contributions of the man on whose ideas the party raised adequate resources to prosecute the 2016 election, so they have resorted to making up stories about him to project themselves.

Mr. Abankwah-Yeboah is touching base with the grassroots to dispel the untruths that have been told delegates about him only to see another frivolous statement that he has stepped down for another candidate.

Mr. Abankwah-Yeboah has not stepped down, he won't step down, he will continue to ask delegates to re-elect him to raise money for the party's operation, empower the grassroots and safeguard the resources of the party.

He served the party well in opposition and he will win by God's grace to continue to serve the party in power.

I Henry Akuffo has not authored such statement and we will entreat patriots to ignore it.

Thank you
