Man Murdered At Sege

Residents of Sege in the Ada-West District woke up Friday morning to discover the lifeless body of a middle-aged man in a bush along the Accra-Aflao highway.

The unidentified man, believed to be in his early 30s, was suspected to have been murdered, and the body dumped at a location between Sege town and Koluedor, as there were several bullet wounds all over his body.

The body was lying in a supine position, dressed in a deep-blue, long-sleeved shirt on top of a sky-blue trousers and black shoes to match.  It appeared his pockets were emptied by his attackers.

Confirming the incident to THE PUBLISHER, the Ada-West District Police Commander, DSP George Aboagye, said they also found 6 bb cartridges beside the body, indicating that he might have been murdered.

DSP Aboagye said the body had since been deposited at the police morgue awaiting autopsy, adding that investigation had already begun to unravel the circumstances behind the suspected murder.

He assured the public of the readiness of his outfit to fight crime in the District, especially as residents prepare to celebrate this year’s annual Ada Asafotu Fiami festival.
