New Town drivers support Accra decongestion exercise

The Accra New Town branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union has called on the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, to sustain the exercise to decongest the metropolis to facilitate free flow of traffic. Mr S.K. Atitsogbui, Branch Chairman of the Union, told the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday that the exercise is also minimising motor accidents and loss of human lives. He said the exercise should be extended to Tema Lorry Station near the Accra Ministries area, where hawkers and traders had turned the station into a market, making it difficult for drivers to operate freely.
