NDC To Sweep All Parliamentary Seats In C/R

Mr. Samuel Kweku Adu-Yeboah, the newly elected Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has stated that the party would win the Region's 19 Parliamentary seats in the 2012 general election. He said the vision and expectation of the party would come true because the needed structures at the grassroots had been put in place to motivate foot soldiers to work hard to realize the goal. Speaking to the journalists at Agona Swedru, after supervising the Women and Youth Delegates Conference of the Agona West branch of the NDC, Mr. Adu-Yeboah said it would be easy to defeat the NPP in the Central Region in the next elections. He noted that "the re-election of the old Central Regional executives of NPP has given impetus to the NDC and it would be a cool chop for the party since they cannot march strategies and tactics in the 2012 electioneering campaign". At the delegates conference held at Agona Nyakrom, Mrs. Evelyn Adu, an Agona Swedru businesswoman, was elected as the constituency women Organizer, while Mr. Eric Apoh, a businessman, was also elected unopposed as youth organizer. Mr. Adu-Yeboah further explained that NDC was having only two Parliamentary seats in 2004, namely Mfantseman East and Twifo Atimokwaa constituencies. The NDC Regional Chairman said through hard work, selflessness and dedication the party annexed 11 seats in 2008 election, even though the party was in opposition. Mr. Adu-Yeboah ,a former MP for Agona East, said NDC would hold on to the seats won in 2008 and annex the rest from NPP especially, Agona West. He said the party would not rest on its oars but strive hard to realise its aims and objectives to enable the government to create" the better Ghana for the people".
