The Managing Director of Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd., Eric Fancini, has reiterated his company’s commitment to using innovation as a tool to developing products and services that will offer best-in-class solutions and relief to its customers. He said this during the launch of the Total Troxi Club, a special Total Card package for Trotros and Taxis that offers users rewards and discounts on every litre of fuel or oil purchased.

The Troxi Club, a first in the country by any oil marketing company, seeks to help commercial drivers manage their monthly spend on fuels and lubricants whilst offering them appreciable level of savings.

Addressing a gathering of commercial drivers and their union leaders in Kaneshie in Accra, Mr. Fancini said “Total values each customer and for that matter, seeks innovative ways of addressing their specific needs.” As a promise of its commitments to enriching its relationship with its customers, Total Petroleum “will continuously seek ways to enhance the benefits packages for all members of the Troxi Club” adds Mr. Fancini. 

 In her presentation, Madam Safo Katanka, E-business and Total Card Manager … implored commercial drivers to take advantage of the immense benefits that the Troxi Club offers. Such benefits, she said, include “An instant savings of 2 pesewas per litre on fuel purchased and 5 percent of the open market price on oil respectively.” Other benefits include the fact that “Drivers who meet a set monthly target on fuel purchase receive a reward every 3 months” she adds. For Trotro drivers, a target of 750 litres per month is set whilst Taxi drivers have to meet a target of 600 litres in order to receive their rewards.

 A number of commercial drivers who signed up to be part of the Troxi Club spoke of their delight in having such a scheme which seeks to relieve them of their daily struggles with fuel and lubricant purchases.

Samuel Arthur, a Trotro driver who shared his feelings said “We are very happy Total has thought of us and has created this club specifically for us.” “The daily savings I make as a member of the club anytime I use my Total Card will go a long way to reduce the fuel burden on my operations”, he added.
