4 Year Old Seeks Justice...For His Severed Limb

Elijah Homadzie, a 4-year-old pupil of the Good Better Best school at Amasaman, a suburb of Accra, experienced perhaps his darkest day on 13th August 2009, when his left arm was completely severed off and his right foot badly damaged. How? Through an alleged train accident. Elijah is born to Veronica Segla, a farmer and resident of Amasaman, and Mr. Homadzie, a resident of the Volta Region. The fateful day began with a request by a neighbour of the victims mum, Mary, that Elijah accompanies her to Papaase in Nsawam, to visit her uncle. Unfortunately, Mary returned to Amasaman in an ambulance which was on its way to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital with poor Elijah in a very critical condition. According to the victims mum, when she got to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, she realized that the son was now a physically challenged person.
