Headmistress Exposed over Rape Story

After denying knowledge of a defiled pupil in her school (name withheld), headmistress of Cherubim and Seraphim Basic Schools at Bakano at cape Coast in the Central Region, is sitting on tenterhooks as she is doing everything within her means to find out how the issue of defilement with regard to her adoptive daughter was leaked to the media. Some teachers the New Weekend Crusading Guide contacted in the school insisted that the headmistress was being economical with the truth since she took pictures with the girl and her grandmother the day she adopted the child. The teachers further added that, the day after the New Weekend Crusading Guide contacted the woman, she came to school in a very bad mood; she went round classrooms asking teachers which of them had disclosed the information to the media. More so, a teacher in the school who spoke to newsmen on conditions of anonymity said I am surprised the headmistress does not want to let the information out to the police or even the media. According to the teacher, for her (headmistress) not to disclose this information to the police for appropriate action to be taken meant, the headmistress has something to hide. When asked why none of the teachers made any effort to report the issue of defilement to the police, another male teacher in the Cherubim and Seraphim Basic School said we did not report to the police because we know how Mrs. Woode is; the moment she gets to know who made the report, she would find any means to sack you from the school because of her husbands influence. It would be recalled that the paper published in its 4th December, 2009 edition that a 4-year-old Kindergarten two (KG 2) pupil of the Cherubim and Seraphim Basic School at Bakano in cape Coast in the central Region has suffered defilement from the grandfather. This paper revealed that a 60-year-old grandfather had placed his 4-year-old step-grand-daughter at the receiving end of his terrible libidinal desires. The story also revealed that the girl had been suffering this fate for a long time and only recently, was picked up on three occasions by her grandfather when she had reported to school. The question some residents in the area asked was that why should someone be able to come and pick a child up from the school in the full glare of the schools authorities? The headmistress had still not reported the issue to the police or the Regional Education Office.
