Emirates Sporting Club gives to needy home

Division One League campaigners, Emirates Sporting Club has donated assorted items worth GHC 2,000 to Royal Seed Home/School, an orphanage at Kasoa near Accra. The items include a set of jerseys and footballs, five bags of rice, cartons of cooking oil, soaps, biscuits, candies and minerals and cash amount of GHC500.00. Lawrence Twum, President of Emirates SC said the decision to assist the orphanage was motivated by his earlier visit to the Home. He said he was touched by the plight of the inmates of the orphanage, who with no fault of theirs have no parents and so has developed the desire to cater for their welfare. Mr Twum said the Club will continue to support the orphanage on regular basis to ensure that the children are given the best of care. The President appealed to other corporate bodies to come to the aid of the Home since the inmates are the future leaders of the country. Naomi Esi Amoah, Mother of the Home, expressed appreciation to the Club for coming to their aid. She said the Home is faced with a lot of problems and will require the collective efforts of society. Madam Esi Amoah said the Home has plans of embarking on more developmental projects such as construction of classrooms and boreholes among others to enhance the living standard of the children.
