Kumasi King Faisal on Saturday was a rejuvenated side when they played a determined game to spank visiting Kpando Heart of Lions 3-1 in the last match of the first round of the Glo Premier League encounter at the Baba Yara Sports stadium, Kumasi.
The three goals from Frank Acheampong, Prince Arko and Abu Naaba Jnr in the 21st, 43rd and 78th minutes were all that Faisal needed to ensure a convincing victory.
Lions Osei Banahene managed to score the consolation goal for his side in the 69th minute but that was all they could produce in a match that they failed to glitter against a determined Faisal side.
At the Obuasi Len Clay stadium, Edubiase United whacked a crest-fallen Berekum Arsenal 2-0 in their 15th Week Premier League match with goals from Ibrahim Moro and striker Seidu Bansi in the 50th and 69th minutes respectively.
