According to an eye witness, around 10.45 hours on Saturday, the deceased was working with the Roller on one of the streets at Mampong Zongo. Suddenly, people started shouting and running away when they saw the Roller moving with speed down the street with the deceased trying to control it. His co-workers quickly put him in a pick-up and rushed him to the Mampong Municipal Hospital but he died on the way. When the Ghana News Agency contacted Chief Superintendent Edward Oduro Kwateng, the Mampong Divisional Police Commander, he confirmed the story and said the police was investigating the cause of the accident.
