GTA To Spearhead ‘Fun And Fly’ Paragliding In Kwahu Atibie

The Ghana Tourism Authority would organise a corporate paragliding dubbed ‘Fun and Fly’ paragliding Festival 2018 at the Odweanoma Mountains, Atibie in Kwahu from Friday, September 28 to Sunday, September 30.

The ‘Fun and Fly’ paragliding, which is the second to be organised this year, is being organised for corporate entities and other organizations to make time off their busy schedules by relieving themselves off their stressful schedules at their respective workplaces; network with each other and create bonds of relationships.

In a release issued to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday in Accra, said the festival is also an opportunity for passengers, who could not fly during the Kwahu Easter Paragliding to do so.

“This year’s ‘Fun and Fly’ paragliding coincides with the United Nations (UN) World Tourism Day celebration, which falls on September 27, every year.

“It is celebrated annually by member countries across the world to highlight the potential of tourism as a valuable source of livelihood for millions of people among the member countries,” the statement said.

It said side attractions for the festival includes King of the Mountain Cycling Competition, a Digital Symposium, Children’s Playground, and sale of assorted local food and drinks.

The release noted that, the GTA would continue in its quest to develop and promote destination Ghana, as spelt out in its mandate and to make Ghana a preferred destination in terms of domestic and international tourism with unique events such as the ‘Fun and Fly’.
