Personnel working for Zoomlion Ghana Limited within the Accra Zone have withdrawn their services without any official notice, City Authorities say.
The situation, according to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly has resulted in mountains of uncollected solid waste scattered in various locations within the city.
A Press Release issued by the AMA has said that officials have consequently deployed tipper trucks to collect all heaps as an interim measure to deal with the situation.
“The Assembly wishes to assure the public that it is working around the clock to bring the situation under control,” the statement said.
