Abedi Warns Ghana

Abedi Pele warns Ghana not to consider the three team system they now have to deal with as an advantage after Togo's pull out from the Nations Cup. The three-time African Player of the Year tells KickOffGhana.com of his sadness at the Togolese incidents but says the opening game in which Mali and Angola drew 4-4 in a thrilling affair would have gone a long way to focus the attention on the football. "What happened to the Togolese was painful but the opening game reminded us again what the Nations Cup is about: the colour, the quality of football and the thrills it provides", he says. "After this Ghana must simply focus on playing and doing well. Three teams in a group can be more dangerous than four before when you make a mistake you don't have an opportunity to correct it. So for Ghana the margin for error is even smaller now."
