Mahama Is Engaging In Cynicism – Information Minister Designate

Information Minister Designate, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has accused former President John Dramani Mahama of engaging in cynicism.

To him, the former president has even equally contradicted himself with his campaign message.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Programme, he explained that Former President who has accused the NPP government of not fulfilling their campaign promises is the same person who during the 2016 campaign said the NPP’s promises weree unrealistic.

"If you listen carefully to the former president, you will realize that he contradicts himself anytime he speaks. But for now, I believe Ghanaians are enjoying good governance under the leadership of the NPP government as government and the party led by the president is fulfilling its campaign promises," he added.

The Former President is reported to have stated that he will show the governing New Patriotic Party a better level of governance if he gets the opportunity to be President of Ghana again.

“The NPP will see the difference in governance when we return to power.

“We began with development projects, social and economic infrastructure leads to development. For every nation to prosper, you need roads, hospitals and schools, we began these.

We began constructing Community Day SHS to support the progressive free SHS but those schools have been abandoned by this government,” Mahama stated at the Agona East constituency in the Central region where he is currently campaigning for the mandate to lead the National Democratic Congress.

Mr. Mahama also noted he believes God played a part in his defeat in the 2016 elections so Ghanaians can appreciate the difference between him and the current administrators of the economy.

The former President will have to beat 10 others to secure the mantle to lead the NDC again in 2020.

But the Information Minister-Designate believes Mr Mahama is being cynical.
