I’m Not In UK For Treatment – George Andah

Mr George Andah, Deputy Minister of Communications, has refuted rumours that he was flown to United Kingdom (UK) for treatment.

Mr Andah, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West Constituency, and his driver, bodyguard and a party official, were involved in a car crash on Saturday, and are responding to treatment.

The crash victims received emergency care at St. Gregory Hospital at Kasoa, in the Central Region, before they were airlifted to the 37 Military Hospital, where his aide said doctors were working round the clock, to ensure they received the needed care.

Hundreds of his constituents gathered at the St. Gregory Hospital to view the injured being carried on a stretcher into the helicopter with some recording the process.

According to Emmanuel Oscar, special aide to Mr Andah, the three occupants in the vehicle had different levels of minor injuries.

The legislator was on his way from Awutu-Budumbura to attend a social event at a community in the area, when his vehicle had a head-on collision with a tipper truck loaded with sand, resulting in the accident.
