Wontumi Praises Nana Addo; Flays Mahama For Being A Talkative With Misplaced Priorities

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has praised President Nana Akufo-Addo for being an action oriented leader, following his pledge to rehabilitate existing schools and construct new ones with the purpose of strengthening the delivery of quality, basic education.

His adulation for the President comes on the back of his ability to secure a $1.5billion facility to help develop infrastructure in schools across the country through the Ghana Education Trust Fund.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, flayed former President Mahama for being a talkative with misplaced priorities.

According to him, the educational system of Ghana was reduced to shambles under the leadership of former President Mahama. Accessibility to Senior High Schools under the former president according to him was limited.

Chairman Wontumi explained that due to this predicament, several talents were going to waste until President Akufo-Addo stepped in to revive our educational system.

We once had a President in Mahama with misplaced priorities. Instead of focusing on providing quality education for the youth, he was into jams and throwing parties for his cronies. Governance was all about making money for him, he didn’t hold a clear vision for the development of Ghana”, Chairman Wontumi said.
