Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has made an audacious vow to determine who gets executive positions within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from their upcoming national executive election this Saturday, Novemeber 17.

Chairman Wontumi as affectionately called in politics claimed his unnoticed influence on the top hierarchy and grassroots of the NDC contributed to the party’s abysmal performance in the 2016 general elections.

According to him, his interest in the NDC’s upcoming national executives’ election is to bring back “failure John Mahama” who can be easily beaten by President Nana Addo in the 2020 election.

“I know those who are going win their national executive election. They will surely bring back Mahama to lead them. Mahama is a failure to himself and his party. He is beatable, they should bring him on. We are ready,” He said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.

Wontumi also slammed Mr. Mahama who is currently campaigning in the Ashanti Region to become the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2020 presidential election.

He says he will not allow ex-President John Mahama to campaign in Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the Ashanti Region.

According to the NPP leader, Mr. Mahama has been touring SHSs in some regions just to spread propaganda in order to confuse the students in a desperate attempt to become president again.

Wontumi, however, stated emphatically that he would never allow Mr. Mahama to visit senor high schools in the Ashanti Region to spew blatant lies to discredit the Akufo-Addo administration.
