Solomon Nkansah Gives Reason For His Defeat

A failed National Organiser contestant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah says God had a hand in his defeat.

Mr Nkansah said prior to the Congress, he saw his defeat because it was sanctioned by God to make him stronger in Ghana’s body politic.

After over 9,000 delegates of the NDC gathered at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La, Accra to cast their vote, the former National Communications Officer garnered a paltry 306 votes.

The National Organiser position which was keenly contested was won by Joshua Akamba who polled 3,087 votes to beat his closest contenders Baba Jamal Ahmed and Yaw Boateng Gyan, who had 2,106 and 1,842 votes respectively.

Though his number of votes polled was surprising to many, Solomon Nkansah, on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Wednesday said his defeat was not shocking to him.

He indicated that though there were machinations against his candidature, he believes God allowed it to make him stronger for a better task ahead.

“Getting to the end, I knew I would lose because I was on the ground. I know God allowed it to make me strong,” he stated.

In appreciation, Solomon Nkansah said he will be going for a thanksgiving service on Sunday to exalt God for his goodness and blessings on his life.
