Being their fourth finals, coach Ellis and her charges would be seeking to make history by winning the ultimate after achieving qualification to the World Cup for the first time.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria, having the intentions of defending and retaining the title for the ninth time, are well motivated to cement their quest as the best female team on the continent.

Nigeria, with another back-to-back final berth after their hard-fought 4-2 win over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, would need to go the extra mile to dispose off the threat from South Africa, after playing 120 minutes to see off Cameroon in the semifinal.

Would this be the lucky time for South Africa, after losing to Nigeria in the 2000 final and suffering defeats to Equatorial Guinea in 2008 and four years later, the Bayana Bayana are poised to make history come Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
