Ayawaso North MCE Holds Stakeholder Meeting To Resolve Challenges

The Ayawaso North Municipal Chief Executive officer, Hon. Aminu Mohammed Zakari popularly known as MZ, has held a stakeholder meeting at the municipality to deliberate on ways to develop their community.

The meeting is to seek the views and contributions of  stakeholders in the municipality on to resolve the challenges confronting them.

Addressing a gathering during the meeting, he noted that his earnest desire is to ensure the municipality becomes "one of the most transformed municipals in the country with excellent service delivery” and, thus, believes the discussion would yield appropriate result.

According to Hon. Mohammed Zakari, he is ready to  work with the assembly members to put pragmatic measures in place to address all negative issues that  may arise in the municipality.

“We are confronted with a lot of challenges such as security, indiscipline and noise, drug abuse, revenue collection, road blocking and most worrisome is the environmental insanitation and waste collection.”

He also appealed to the chiefs and opinion leaders to help protect the only secondary school within the municipality(Accra girls secondary school) which most residents has turn into a market place selling all kinds of items destructing activities of the school.

“Accra girl’s is a shared responsibility and we should all make a conscious effort to protect the school properties,” he stressed.

He urged the residents to support and contribute towards the development of the municipality.

The Meeting was graced by Hon. Members of Parliament, all Hon. Assembly members, all Unit Committee Members, the division Police Commander, District Police Commander, Regional Director Ghana Water Company Limited, the Regional Director Electrcity Company Limited, all Heads of Department and all Youth Association in the municipality.
