The Deputy Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mame Yaa Aboagye is set to Challenge John Dumelo for the late Hon. Emmanuel Agyarko’s vacant seat at Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

Mame Yaa Aboagye popularly known as Mame Ayawaso, speaking to delegates of the Ayawaso West Waguon Constituency in the Legon electoral area assured them that she will work hard to protect the gains of the late MP Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, particularly in the legon electoral area which is touted as the world bank of the New Patriotic Party.

“My brothers and sisters, I know the hard work our party people and the late Member of Parliament put in to secure this constituency and particularly this electoral area from 2012 and 2016 elections,  the least I can do is to work very hard to ensure that we either maintain the gains or expand it. So with your help and that of the party machinery I will work hard to ensure this happens. As for John Dumelo, he should be the least of our worry because this gentleman per the EC records do not even vote in this constituency how can he be an MP here," She said.

The race for the replacement of the late MP, Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko has sparked a lot of controversies and internal politicking with some names popping up as interested in the seat, top amongst them are Mame Yaa Aboagye, Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Mr. Ato Williams, Owusu Amankwa the constituency youth organizer and Mr. Edward Agyekum Kuffour.
