James Kwasi Appiah, head of the senior national team, the Black Stars, has thrown his support behind the J.A. Kufuor Cup match to be played between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold SC on December 30, 2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The match, is part of celebrations to mark the 80th birthday of the former President organised by Primeval Media under the auspices of the JAK foundation.
According to the astute technical brain, he was proud to be part of the ambassadors for the charity match, adding that the former President had served the country well
“When I heard the JAK foundation was organizing a match, I decided to support the course because the former President has been like a dad to me in my coaching career.
“President Kuffour has done a lot to country and he set up this foundation to benefit the future generation,'' he stated.
He also urged fans need to patronize the game and the dinner dance and every contributions made would be channelled towards helping the needy in society as well as help the growth of the foundation.
Partners of this charity match include Universal Merchant Bank, SIC, Ghana Gas, Royce Energy, Hisense and Ghana Free Zones Board.
