CAL Bank Holds Thanksgiving Service To Mark The Festive Season

The management and staff of CAL Bank on Sunday, December 16, 2018 held a thanksgiving service to express their profound gratitude to God for the success of the bank.

As the year nears its end, the bank has been reflecting on and evaluating their impact and growth throughout the year.

Addressing the staff at the CAL Bank Head Office during the thanksgiving service under the theme "Ceaseless Praise", Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Frank Adu Jnr commended the staff for their hard work and efforts saying "through your hard work we have met the minimum capital requirement".

He also disclosed that the bank, as part of their long term strategy, has built a state of the art Head Office befitting the status of the bank.

"The first phase of the building has been completed and we have taken occupancy. We will share details of the official commissioning with you in due time," he stated.

The MD also cautioned the staff against their involvement in fraudulent acts and advised them to put up a good character because the "bank will not shield any staff who is found culpable in any fraud issue".

"Human as we are, some of us try to defraud the very organization that ensures we are paid at the end of the month. Per the Bank of Ghana records staff of banks are involved in about 70% of all fraud cases reported. I must say this is our biggest challenge going forward especially in the cyber fraud space.

" . . I am certain you all know that a staff of the bank has been jailed for four years for attempting to defraud the bank. Please do not be the next person. The bank will continue to ensure that staff welfare issues are sustained and improved".

"After 28 years of operations, every new year feels like a new beginning, a new birth and gives us the opportunity to reflect and become better at what we do," he added.

Mr. Frank Adu Jnr was hopeful that 2019 will be a better year for the bank.

"Colleagues in the new year we will need to renew our commitment to our core values; Responsible, Effective and Decisive. So, whatever your objective in the coming year is, reorient yourself to further develop your capabilities and achieve beyond your current ability," he said.
