John Kumah Adjudged Most Efficient, Prominent Appointee For 2018

Per the rating of the research group known as Pope Duncan Research Team, the CEO scored 100% for both his leadership and planning skills.

He also scored 100% for being time conscious, 98%/for his monitoring skills, he score 98% for controlling and 100% for his team work and 93% for his human relations.

His overall performance as rated at 97.6% with efficiency at 90%

Lawyer John Kumah was appointed by President Nana Akufo Addo as CEO of NEIP which was formerly known as Youth Enterprise Support (YES) in February 2017.

NEIP was established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and sustainable development of the nation.

It was an initiative of former President John Dramani Mahama, and is dedicated to growing Ghana’s economy by tapping into the creativity and innovativeness of young entrepreneurs through the provision of financial and expert advisory support for their businesses.

The Youth Employment Support is a multi-sectoral initiative functioning under the Office of the President and drawing collaborative support from key agencies including the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), National Youth Authority (NYA), Ministry of Youth & Sports, Ministry of Trade & Industry, and Ministry of Finance.

Over 1,350 entrepreneurs were in August awarded cash to start and expand their businesses under the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation plan (NEIP) Business Support Programme.

The grant, ranging between GHC10,000 to GHC100,000 was given to young business men and women on August 7, 2018.

Over 7,000 businesses applied our of which the number was probe down to the figure of over 1,350.

The NEIP Business Support Program is an initiative by the government under the Ministry of Business Development to support unemployed Ghanaian youth through training and funding.
