<<Print>>If what viewers were subjected to on New Year's day on United Television (UTV) is anything to go by, then 2019 will definitely be a great one; entertainment-wise.
On every first day of the first month of a new year, Ghana's leading television network holds what is arguably the best entertainment programme which brings joy to many homes across the country.
Dubbed “UTV Day With The Stars”, 1st January is not just a holiday to many Ghanaians, but a day to have fun and release stress as well as get up-close with their favorite celebrities on UTV.
This year’s edition which began on Tuesday morning, was as usual, packed with lots of activities with various celebrities running the day’s programmes on UTV in a quest to entertain viewers and their fans.
UTV’s award winning morning show “Adekye Nsroma” saw Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah aka Lil Win, Prophet Kumchacha, Baba Spirit, Lead drummer for Ghana national team Langabel, actresses Emelia Brobbey, Efia Odo, Moesha Boudong and a host of other celebrities anchoring segments on the show.
An intriguing topic on “Farting” was treated on the Morning show with sit-in host Abeiku Aggrey “Santana” and his resource personnel; a doctor and lecturer at the University of Health and Applied Sciences at Ho in the Volta Region, Lil Win, Emelia Brobbey and Prophet Kumchacha.
It got the viewers cracking their ribs and more importantly well-informed and educated on the implications of not farting (releasing toxic gases from the stomach).
Baba Spirit and Langabel also took their turn on the Sports segment and indeed it won’t be so much surprising should they win best Sports Presenters in the year 2019. Their delivery was sarcastically on point!
It could also be said that it is on “UTV Day With The Stars” that two budding actresses, Efia Odo and Moesha Boudong, who have been at loggerheads with each other for years now, finally ended their feud.
There was further exciting on the show during the “Musical Chairs” segment with actress Jackie Appiah emerging winner and taking an undisclosed amount of money as her ultimate prize.
