Slain Pastor’s Alleged Murderer Undergoing Psychiatric Tests

Francis Mugnanla Nabegmado, the suspected murderer of Reverend Doctor David Nabegmado, Senior Pastor of the Central Assemblies of God Church, at Tema Community Four, is currently undergoing series of psychiatric test.

This was made known to the Tema TDC Magistrate Court when he made his second appearance on Thursday.

The court presided over by Mrs Akosua A. Adjepong, on January 2nd ordered for the test to be carried on him when he appeared before him on January 2, after allegedly stabbing and slashing the throat of his uncle on Sunday December 30, 2018 at the church premises.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jacob Asamani, prosecuting, told the court that a team of psychiatrists headed by Dr Akwasi Osei, Chief Psychiatrist, had done a thorough test on him with another to be carried out on January 28th.

ASP Asamani added that series of medical tests had also been conducted on him with a few yet to be done.

He further indicated that investigators had received the pathologist report on the murdered pastor while forensic report on evidences gathered at the crime scene were yet to be received from the Police Forensic Department.

The court therefore renewed the prison remand of the suspect and adjourned the case to January 31st.

The accused person who is on a provisional murder charge appeared in court in light yellow shirt worn over a pair of blue jeans trousers and sandals with his head shaved and a big plaster positioned on a wound on the head.

Church members and relatives of the slain pastor thronged the court and hurled insults on the suspect as he was being taken away from the premises.
