Highlife musician, Kofi Boakye Yiadom popularly known as Kofi B, is in the grips of the law. Peacefmonline.com investigation has revealed that, Kofi B was arrested at his residence, yesterday evening, January 25, and sent to the police headquarters in Accra. When Kofi B was contacted this morning via phone, he confirmed his arrest. According to him, he was invited for questioning very late in the night and explained that it was based on a complaint made against him by Naana Ntri, a former reporter of �Weekly Fylla� who now writes for a new entertainment newspaper called �Entertainment Buzz�. The �Koforidua flowers� musician said Naana claims he (Kofi) called her on phone to insult, threaten and also use unprintable words at her. Narrating what transpired between him and Naana, Kofi said �I think Naana has a problem with me for a long time now. She has been doing a lot of things to frustrate me and everybody around me. So I called to warn her to desist from destroying my career,� he revealed. According to the musician, ABS Total Entertainment, the company which bought the rights of his latest album �Akua Donkor�, is owned by Naana and her boyfriend. �They bought the rights to my album but they have refused to pay me the money we both agreed on, so I had to sell the album to another person. Since then, Naana has developed some hatred for me,� he explained. The latest incident which led to Kofi�s arrest yesterday, has to do with a movie produced by the same production outfit ABS Total Entertainment titled �Genesis�, which coincidentally has Kofi B�s girlfriend as one of the cast. Kofi said ever since Naana realized the lady was his girlfriend, she has been trying to sabotage her in everything she is involved in. �My girlfriend was scheduled for an interview at TV3 about the movie, but she stopped her and went with somebody else because of her hatred for me. So I called to warn her that I will beat her up if she doesn�t stop what she is doing to me and my family. Because before this latest episode, she had written a lot of false stories just to destroy me,� He lamented. When peacefmonline contacted Naana Ntri for her version, she confirmed that Kofi B has being harassing her for some time now. According to her, the last straw that broke the camel�s back was when he called to rain insults and also threatened to beat her up. �I have a recorded phone conversation between me and Kofi B as evidence,� she claimed. She said she was on her way to the police headquarters because Kofi B was supposed to be arraigned before court this morning. As at the time of filing this report, Kofi B who spent the night at the police headquarters, was still behind bars awaiting his relatives to bail him out. Keep reading for more information.
