Actor Oscar Provencal Defends ‘Threesome’

Controversial veteran actor Oscar Provencal has defended a threesome scene in a yet-to-be premiered movie titled 'Sin City', insisting that it makes sense to the movie's plot.

The new movie, produced by Yvonne Nelson's YN Productions, will be released for cinemas with a grand red carpet event on Valentine's Day, February 14, at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra.

It talks about the difficulties in marriage, covering the mysteries of love, mortality, loyalty, and human vows.

Oscar, who is one of the major actors in the movie, is making a comeback onto the big screens, having been missing on the screens for a very long time.

Many remember him for his role in the rested television series, 'Inspector Bediako', in the 90s. He is also known for roles in productions such as 'The Other Side of The Rich' (1992), 'Screen Two' (1985), among others.

His long absence has, to some extent, created a vacuum, and 'Sin City' is expected to leverage that and endear him to new audiences.

Last week, a photo from the movie's threesome scene with Yvonne Nelson, Kunle Remi and Rosaline Meurer generated a lot of attention on social media.

But Oscar, who is particular about the themes of movies he features in, described 'Sin City' as an educative piece to allay fears about the threesome scene.

“It is about a couple who are having problems in their marriage and they needed to spice it up and so they had a threesome and the threesome went out of control. It is about relationship, the choices we make and the actions we take and the repercussions that come with it,” he explained the movie on GHone TV.

'Sin City' also stars Yvonne Nelson, Adjetey Anang, Kunle Remi, Regina Van-Helvert and a host of others.

Its premiere on Val’s Day is expected to attract all who matter in Ghana’s movie industry.
