You Can't Separate Ken Agyapong From Ahmed's Murder - Fred Agbenyo

Former Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fred Agbenyo has waded into discussions regarding the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

Speaking to Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme with sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesseh, Fred Agbenyo stated emphatically that the call by the Minority in Parliament on the Police to interrogate the Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong over the death of the journalist is in the right direction.

According to him, Hon. Agyapong cannot be absolved from the murder case, saying he is partly to blame for the shooting of the journalist by some unknown assailants.

He said the journalist who has been working undercover had to disguise himself as part of their working code but it took Hon. Kennedy Agyapong just a day to unveil his identity.

To him, the actions by the Assin Central MP to reveal the identity of the journalist exposed him to danger and so, he (Kennedy Agyapong) deserve to assist in the investigations into the death of the journalist.

“You can’t separate him from this issue . . . His conduct and certain things he said are overboard," he said.

He also advised the lawmaker to watch his tongue as his utterances are usually corrosive and unbefitting of his status as a legislator.
