Ahmed's Murder: Police Have Been 'Soft' With Ken Agyapong - Prof Adei

A former rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration [GIMPA], Prof Stephen Adei wants the police to invite Assin Central lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong to answer some questions over the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an investigative journalist with Tiger Eye PI.

Describing his ‘beat him, I will pay’ comment as “Irresponsible” – he noted that the police have been ‘soft’ on the lawmaker.

“It was irresponsible what he [Kennedy Agyapong] said. It is irresponsible today and will be irresponsible forever. Unfortunately, this is the only country you can say that and get away with it,” he said in a interview with Class FM.

Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot thrice on Wednesday, 16 January 2019 at Madina, a suburb of Accra while driving home around 10 p.m.

Ken Agyapong Invited

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has confirmed that Mr Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has been invited for questioning over the murder of the late Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an investigative journalist.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the Director-General of the CID confirmed this during a maiden visit by Mr Ambrose Dery, the Minister for the Interior to the CID Headquarters in Accra last Friday.

She explained that, even before the CID served the Speaker of Parliament, a letter of invitation for Mr Kennedy Agyapong, he willingly availed himself.
