80% of Bad Marriages Are Caused By Churches - Counselor Lutterodt

Controversial marriage counselor, Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, also known as Counselor Lutterodt says marriages are now collapsing due to some doctrines adapted by some churches.

According to him majority of marriage breakups in recent times should be blamed on churches and their ‘autocratic’ leaders.

“The churches are doing some big mistakes we ought to address. Now, pastors tell their congregation to introduce to them any man or woman they are interested in. Where is that written in the bible?” he quizzed, adding that, “The church is now a disgrace to many”.

Counselor Lutterodt as affectionately called in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’ noted that “a successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person but not who the pastor proposed to you to love”.
.
“Per my personal research, 78%-80% of bad marriages are caused by the church. Why do we think virgins are made by the church? The church rather uses virgins; virgins are made by the family,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.

Counselor Lutterodt who also double as a Reverend Minister however cautioned his colleague clergymen to desist from interfering in relationships and at large marriages.

“These pastors are not witnesses to any divorce cases in court. Marriage is not for the church, is for the family so let’s be careful of the rules,” he said.

According to him, “Unnecessary charges imposed on couples by the church must also stop”.
