Arrest Menzgold Customers For Tax Evasion – A Plus

A-Plus has said customers of Menzgold Ghana Limited who received interest but failed to pay tax should be arrested for tax evasion.

The controversial musician— who was speaking through a Facebook post on Tuesday in the wake of reports that Economic & Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has secured a court order to freeze properties of embattled Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM 1) — said customers should have paid tax on percentages they made on their investments.

“If Menzgold customers are asking government to pay their investments then government must also arrest all Menzgold costumer’s (sic) who received interest but failed to pay tax on their income for tax evasion. Wicked and greedy citizens. Even those who receive 12% or less a year pay tax.

“You were taking 120% a year but refused to pay tax. Now you say what? Government should use the tax we pay on 12% a year to pay you who refused to pay tax on 120% a year? The thing you people are saying noh does it make sense to you?” A-Plus wrote on Facebook.

“Menzgold must present a total list of all those who received interest to the Ghana Revenue Authority to be arrested and prosecuted. Nam1 “thief you.” You too you “thief government.” Thief man thief thief man…. if you don’t understand go and invest in Womenzsilver,” he added.

On Tuesday, January 29, 2019, EOCO, in a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs at EOCO, Jacqueline Avotri, revealed it has secured a court order to go after all properties belonging to Nana Appiah Mensah.

This is part of efforts to pay off frustrated customers of Menzgold.

But, A-Plus says the customers must also be dealt with because they also faulted in the Menzgold saga.
