PC Appiah Ofori Condemns Muntaka, Ken Agyapong Brawl

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Esikuma-Odobin-Brakwa Constituency has described as unacceptable a confrontation that ensued between two members of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong and Muntaka Mohammed.

But for the timely intervention of some Members of Parliament (MP), the MP for Assin Central and his colleague MP for Asawase would have engaged in fisticuffs on the floor of Parliament.

The two threw missiles of unprintable words at each other; Ken Agyapong was not happy that his colleague referred him to the Privileges Committee for allegedly inciting the public against undercover investigator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale who was killed by unknown gunmen.

P. C. Appiah Ofori speaking to the issue in an interview on Citi eyewitness news, Wednesday said the two can be referred to Parliament's Disciplinary Committee for their unethical behaviour.

He said "both of them insulting each other in the house was not acceptable…they can be brought before the disciplinary committee" and that whether or not they should be suspended "is at the discretion of the Speaker of Parliament".
