The nominee announcement for the maiden edition of the Gold Coast Excellence Awards has been released.
Some prominent personalities under the Despite Media Group including Fadda Dickson who is the Managing Director, Broadcast Journalist Kwami Sefa Kayi, Okay FM drivetime Presenter Abeiku Santana, Neat FM Morning Show host and Peace FM's "Entertainment Review" host Kwasi Aboagye and UTV morning show host Lawyer Tweneboah Koduah among others have been nominated in the media category.
Gold Coast Excellence Awards has been established to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship within the country. The premier edition of this awards scheme seeks to recognize and honor the most outstanding achievements of professionals in their field. It encapsulates various categories which cover a wide range of industries. The Awards scheme provides a comprehensive insight to the most exceptional examples of expertise that other industries can emulate and build upon.
In addition to this, the Awards also provide an excellent networking forum for all attendees and take a highly diverse look at achievements across Ghana.
The award ceremony is exclusive and prestigious, to garner national and international media exposure. The awards scheme will honor outstanding personalities and establishments.

The Category Awards – Honors outstanding personalities and Industries from various sectors based on votes from the public and the award scheme jury.
Honorary Awards – This is a form of recognition that represents a high level of respect and distinction. This is not dependent on public voting.

Gold Coast Excellence Awards is designed for established business and individuals who propagate development and are exceling in their expertise. Any project that commenced in 2018, as well as projects that are ongoing could participate in the competition. However, an astounding change worthy of attention must have been attained.
Applications were only accepted online. Persons and companies were allowed to make entries on behalf of others. A committee was formed to analyze and shortlist submissions made. After the publication of the nominees the official Jury of the scheme will evaluate the nominees on the following criteria to advise their vote:
Strategy: The Jury will assess the strategic approach of each nominee and the fit between the strategy and the development of the organization, project or personality as well as the integration of the various tools.
Innovation/ Creativity: The Jury will assess the question of whether new technical or strategic methods were pursued and evaluate the creativity of the institution, project or individual both in concept and implementation.
Implementation: The Jury will assess continuity and quality of communication or dialogue of the institution or person with their clients or target group(s) as well as the management and internal organization of their activities.
Results and Efficiency: The Jury will consider the success and results of companies and projects in relation to targets, as well as the resources used towards their achievements.
There will also be public voting for nominated personalities and organizations from each category via text to help attain the winners for each category.
The Gold Coast Excellence awards is instituted by NMJ Ghana, organizers of Golden Movie Awards Africa. in collaboration with Events Hub and Logistics. NMJ Ghana is a marketing, branding and event company that seeks to help promote local companies and individuals who wish to take their businesses to the apex.
