March Your Sons To Face The NPP 'Boot For Boot - Mahama Told

An aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Andy Owusu says former President John Dramani Mahama should prepare his sons for battle after inciting violence ahead of 2020 polls.

Mr Mahama has been severely criticized for asserting that the NDC will match the governing New Patriotic Party "boot-for-boot" with violence in the 2020 polls if the NPP attempts to intimidate and harass NDC supporters.

His comment has been described by Andy as “inappropriate” to have come from a former president.
“I find this statement inappropriate, unfortunate and an unguided outburst borne out of desperation, a very regrettable statement I least expected from a personality like an Ex President” he said in a statement to Peacefmonline.com

Just recently, Mr. Mahama declared to some section of the NDC sympathizers that the NDC will in 2020 would 'match the NPP 'Boot for Boot' and further cautioned the NPP that, the NDC seems most violent and hence, nobody could beat them in unleashing violence.

I find this statement inappropriate, unfortunate and an unguided outburst borne out of desperation. A very regrettable statement I least expected from a personality like an Ex President.

Considering this from comment, I am very certain that during the heat of the 2020 elections, in Mr. Mahama's quest to make the NDC a frontier in unleashing violence, he may order some youth within the NDC to undertake this self-seeking mission of violence and lawlessness.

In this regard, I wish to make a few request to Mr. Mahama;

Firstly, we all know Mr. Mahama has sons who are equally youthful and as a matter of fact well built. So, in all humility, I ask of him to include his sons when the NDC is matching young men to face the NPP boot for boot as Mr. Mahama recently claimed. I expect to see if not all, at least two of his sons. I believe strongly that his sons could be good warriors for his quest to be victorious in unleashing violence and lawlessness and I do not expect him to look beyond his home when he needs warriors.

If he looks nowhere than his home, at least for the first time, the son of another man could stay back and watch the sons of Mr. Mahama battle the NPP to make the NDC the most violent party in Ghana.

We have all been against violence and lawlessness, but, if Ex President Mahama wants to continue in violence, I challenge him to put forward his sons.

But, if he can't put up his kids, I expect the young men who sympathises with the NDC to advice themselves when they are being matched to face the NPP boot for boot.

I also ask that as we become circumspect of how we may allow ourselves to be used for such self-seeking prospect by persons like Mr. Mahama if they would not allow their kids to join those lawless quest.

Violence is not the best way to do things as a civilised country.

Signed
Andy Owusu
