Gov't To Fly 200 To Cheer Stars In Angola � Prez.

The President, His Excellency Prof. John Evans Atta Mills has issued a directive to the Chief of Staff�s outfit to organize a 200 Ghanaian contingent to Angola to cheer the Black Stars in their final match against the Pharaoh�s of Egypt. In an interview with Peacefmonline, the Deputy Minister of Information, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the trip will afford Ghanaian soccer fans the opportunity to give their support to enable the Stars win the Cup. However, he said the President has ordered that the 200 soccer contingent should comprise of all persons no matter their affiliations. �We have spoken to all the political parties; the NDC,NPP,CPP,DFP,GCPP,religious groups, the Islamic community,chiefs,Ghana Bar Association and various organizations to make sure the selection would be fair�,he said. Meanwhile, he said the government of Ghana will be sponsoring the one-day trip. �There will be no per diem, accommodation, �chop-chop� and no incentives are attached, it is a one-day trip to support the team and return�,he added. The team will leave the shores of the country aboard a 200-seater chartered flight on Sunday morning and return after the match. The Black Stars of Ghana will play the Pharaoh�s of Egypt on Sunday,January 29, 2010 at 4pm in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Angola.
