Don't Allow The "Devil" To Rule Ghana; Speak Truth To Power - Allotey Jacobs

Social Commentator and one-time Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has advised the nation's leaders and the entire Ghanaian populace to stop glorifying violence in the country.

According to him, inciting people against others is not the right way to go in developing the country.

He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, that Ghana is a unique country where God dwells, thus the devil should not be given the opportunity to have any foothold.

Condemning the recent Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence and the rampage by some Salaga youth who set the NPP offices ablaze on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in protest against the announcement of Damongo as their Regional Capital, Allotey Jacobs advised political leaders to name and shame hoodlums in order to maintain peace in the country.

Speak the truth and shame the devil. You don’t allow the devil to rule this country. This country is a unique country where God’s throne dwells. That is why we have that kind of peace. So, we shouldn’t allow these hoodlums from both political parties to ruin our peace," he stated.
