NDC Must Find a Way of Getting Rawlings Back On Board - Joshua Alabi

Flagbearer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Prof. Joshua Alabi has urged leadership of his party to try their best to get Flt Lt (rtd) Jerry John Rawlings, founder of the National Democratic Congress fully active in the activities of the party.

“We must find every ways and means to get Flt Lt (rtd) Jerry John Rawlings part of the party so that he can support with whatever he has naturally. Let's get him fully on board and not pretend as if we have brought him on board, because he has a lot to offer the party when he comes on board,” he said.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ Friday’s 'Mpu ne Mpu' programme, he mentioned that he has heard some people blame the first President of the Fourth Republic for neglecting the party, but getting involved in the affairs of the ruling NPP government.

“How would he remain doing nothing in his home when his services are needed elsewhere? He can make the party get a lot of votes,” he said.

According to him, almost all the flagbearer aspirants of the NDC have officially gone to seek his support and blessing, meaning he is very important to the party.
