PPU Holds Farewell Ceremony For Outgoing Commander

The outgoing Commander of the Parliamentary Protection Unit (PPU) Supt. Fii Ochil has commended Police Officers of the Unit, the Leadership and Members of Parliament as well as staff of Parliament for giving him full cooperation during his 11 years in office as Commander of the PPU.

Supt. Fii Ochil made the comment at a farewell ceremony by Officers of the PPU as he leaves for Adansi Fomena to serve as the District Police Commander.

The number of Police personnel of the PPU has increased from 28 in 2008 when Supt Fii Ochil became the Commander of the Unit to 133 currently.

Supt. Fii Ochil advised the PPU to work harder to ensure adequate protection for Ghana's legislature.

The Incoming Commander of the Parliamentary Protection Unit, DSP Emmanuel Kwao praised the outgoing Commander Supt Fii Ochil for his impressive performance as Commander of the Unit.

He also promised to work very hard to build upon the good record of Supt. Fii Ochil.
