Unity In NDC Greater Than It Used To Be - Sammy Gyamfi

National Communications Officer for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has stated that his party is gingered and poised for power in the 2020 general elections.

According to him, the NDC had a smooth and successful walk last Saturday as many Ghanaians and party supporters joined the walk to El-Wak Sports Stadium; thus national executives including one of the Flagbearer Candidates, Sylvester Mensah joined in the walk.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Sammy Gyamfi indicated that NDC Regional Executives and Constituency Executives also came in their numbers with the zeal to rally round the Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama to walk to El-Wak Sports Stadium.

“We departed from El-Wak Sports Stadium very happy and it means to us that the unity in our party has been more and greater than it used to be. The enthusiasm, commitment and confidence of the party members have maximised and we are more gingered and more poised for the next general elections in 2020,” he pontificated.

The newly elected flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President Mahama, addressing the gathering at El-Wak Sports Stadium on Ofosu-Ampofo’s controversial tape, described it as propaganda piece churned by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Mahama last Saturday told NDC supporters that “our opponents are good at propaganda and they will come up from time to time with things to distract us. This issue of a tape is just distraction. Dismiss it with the contempt it deserves. Let us focus. Our message must be to the Ghanaian people”.

“Let us tell the Ghanaian people what we can do for them and cease the endless arguments with the NPP. It is only a government that has too much time on its hands because it is not working that will have time to go and bug the office of its opponents,” he said.

He however urged party members to focus on the things they can do for Ghanaians to make their lives better and not be distracted by the shenanigans of the NPP.
